Submissions

While we welcome submissions from writers of all genres, our primary interests are:

• Poetry
  • All poetry – formal and otherwise
  • Structured, formal verse is special to us, but don’t sacrifice substance for meter
  • We are always looking for exceptional free verse
• Short Stories
  • Collections of short stories would ideally have a common underlying theme
  • Each individual story should have an instructive and/or thought-provoking narrative arc
• Nautical Memoir
  • True life accounts of sailors and ships at sea are close to our heart

We also encourage the submission of original works that bring out Muslim thinking and preoccupation in creative ways.

Manuscripts with profanity-laced language and themes are unlikely to be selected for publication.
